Nyst Legal Solicitor Jordan Roles Wins Griffith University Law Prize

I am very proud to announce that Nyst Legal Solicitor Jordan Roles was this week announced by Griffith University as the winner of last year’s George Tanner Prize for achieving the highest grade in the Griffith University Innocence Project course.

Modelled on the initiative of US lawyers Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld at the Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York, the Griffith University Innocence Project was established in 2001 as a collaborative pro bono project that brings together lawyers, academics and law students to work to correct failures in our criminal justice system. For the past 22 years, the Project has actively fostered an Australian legal culture that champions the defence of the innocent, and protects the disenfranchised, marginalised and oppressed of our community.

Nyst Legal is proud of its long association with the Griffith University Innocence Project, and I am thrilled to be able to congratulate Mr Roles on his excellent contribution to the Project’s very important work.
