We are proud to announce that our very own Jordan Roles has been appointed as a member to the Queensland Law Society (QLS) Future Leaders Committee. This is a significant achievement and a well-deserved recognition of Jordan’s commitment to the profession, and passion for fostering positive change within the legal industry.

The appointment is not only a personal milestone for Jordan but also an exciting opportunity for him to contribute meaningfully to the future direction of the legal profession in Queensland. His involvement will help ensure that the voices of emerging legal professionals are heard on key issues impacting the industry today and into the future.

What is the QLS Future Leaders Committee?

The QLS Future Leaders Committee (FLC) was established to provide a dedicated platform for early-career and emerging legal professionals to actively participate in shaping the future of the legal profession in Queensland. Comprised of passionate and motivated young lawyers, the committee plays a vital role in advising the Queensland Law Society Council on matters relevant to future generations of legal practitioners.

The FLC focuses on a wide range of important topics, including career development, mentoring opportunities, mental health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion within the profession, and the evolving role of technology in legal practice. The committee works collaboratively to identify challenges faced by young lawyers and propose practical solutions that promote a more sustainable, inclusive, and forward-thinking legal industry.

In addition to providing strategic advice, the Future Leaders Committee organises events, seminars, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering connections between early-career lawyers and established leaders in the profession. Through these initiatives, the committee encourages knowledge sharing, professional growth, and meaningful mentorship opportunities for Queensland’s future legal leaders.

Why is this appointment significant?

Jordan’s appointment to the QLS Future Leaders Committee is a testament to his outstanding contributions to the legal profession and his genuine commitment to supporting his peers. As a valued member of the Nyst Legal team, Jordan has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a strong dedication to client service.

Jordan’s passion for mentorship and professional development has been evident throughout his career. His appointment to the FLC will allow him to bring these qualities to a wider platform, helping to shape policies and initiatives that directly benefit young lawyers across the state. With his forward thinking approach and collaborative mindset, Jordan is well placed to contribute meaningfully to discussions on the future of the legal profession.

At a time when the legal industry is undergoing significant transformation driven by technological advances, evolving client expectations, and increasing demands for diversity and workplace wellbeing, there has never been a more important moment for future leaders like Jordan to step up and guide the profession forward.

We congratulate Jordan on this remarkable achievement and look forward to supporting him as he embarks on this exciting new chapter. We have no doubt that his contributions will help shape a brighter, more dynamic future for Queensland’s legal community.
